講義概要/Course description
|
The class aims at deepening students' understanding of contemporary issues of Asia-Pacific, as well as of foreign and security policies of major countries in the region. In each class, after a lecture by the instructor, students are required to discuss questions posed by the instructor, either individually or in groups, and then present their findings. The course will also include a lecture using a policy simulation at the end of the course.

By the end of this course, students are expected to deepen their knowledge of international relations in the Asia-Pacific, improve their ability to summarize, present and discuss in English, and develop the ability to think critically from divergent perspectives.

It is recommended that all students have taken a class of the theory of international relations as well as an introductory course of international relations.
