授業方法/Method of instruction
This course will consists of readings and homework assignments that should be done out of class. The classes will be conducted in small groups. Each group of four or five students will be responsible for making a presentation of the assigned reading, which should include Short Summary, Translation into Japanese, and Opinions. Homework assignments will include textbook readings and exercises, group presentation preparation and Reading Explorer Written Reports. In addition, students should keep a vocabulary notebook for newly acquired words and phrases throughout the course. These words will be assessed through a vocabulary test at the end of each term.

ATTENDANCE POLICY: Regular class attendance will be absolutely essential in this course. Five (5) absences or more in one semester will result in automatic failure. Students who are more than 30 minutes late for class will be considered absent. Being tardy to class three (3) times will be considered equivalent to one absence.
