達成目標/Course objectives
This course is intended to provide you with a basic understanding of a number of important concepts and theories in economic development. Particular attention will be given to the behaviors of poor households under risk and uncertainty. I will often cite data and discuss empirical studies to facilitate your understanding. At the end of the course, I want you to be in a position where you can discuss development issues with a firm analytical framework and think of strategies for poverty alleviation.
