講義概要/Course description
  In the history of human kind, language is used as a tool of communication
but the language is not used merely for the communication. 
   It is used to identify one from the other, to show solidarity or sometimes to give or deprive power to someone or the other.    
  This lecture will focus on following 7 sociolinguistical issues concerning gender will be discussed:
Part I Gender Difference in Pronunciationand Grammar
Part II Gender Differences in conversational Practice
Part III Conversational Dominance in Mixed Talk
Part IV Same-Sex Talk
PartV Women’s Talk in the Public Domain
Part VI. Language, Gender and Sexuality
Part VII. Gender or Power?  and other Theoretical Issues
達成目標/Course objectives
The social aspect of languages is various and will changing time to time, place by place. 
 To give some notions on social function of language.
  To understand some phenomena concerning social issues on languages and their diversity, multiculturalism
  And to give some ideas to grasp the language-social phenomena and to tackle and resolve the problems based upon knowledge they have got from this lectures.
