講義概要/Course description
This lecture is conducted basically in English, using relevant materials written in English. The materials used in the lecture include several case studies of post-conflict countries such as Cambodia, Timor Leste, Afghanistan,Angola, Rwanda, etc. The social-economic situations of those post-conflict countries and examples of international assistance to those countries are introduced using the materials as well as photos taken in the fields, and the significance and challenges of the international cooperation for peace will be discussed among students and lecturer.  A list of concrete case studies and examples of key discussion points are as follows.

Students can understand the realities of socio-economic situations of post-conflict countries and assistance to those countries from international community mainly from Japan.

授業方法/Method of instruction
This lecture is conducted basically in English, using relevant materials written in English. Students are requested to make their copies and bring them in each session.  The lecturer will explain the outline of the chapters and invite questions and comments from students. 
成績評価方法/Evaluation
1 100% Scores will be evaluated based on the frequency of attendance to course sessions and discussion, and the quality of a report presented at the final session of the course.
