メッセージ/Message
This course and Topics in Japanese Culture are complementary courses. Japanese modern culture builds upon traditional one as expressed as 不易流行, the principle of fluidity and immutability as the Japanese Haiku poet Matsuo Basho. If students take both courses, you will gain a fuller understanding of Japanese culture. Please note that it is possible that the schedule of topics of these two courses may change/exchange due to the availability of artists.

This course is offered for both international and Japanese students. For international students, the course presents numerous facets of the Japanese contemporary culture. For Japanese students, the courses will prepare you better for your upcoming study abroad opportunities.
