講義概要/Course description
昨年度、学生が選んだテーマに関しての知識を一層深め、過去の資料を読み、データーを集め分析し、英語でリサーチペーパーを書き上げる。
You will gain further knowledge on the sociolinguistic topic you chose last year, and continue working from last semester. You will also write up a research paper in English, whose process consists of literature review, data collection and analysis. 

達成目標/Course objectives
- Students will further become familiar with the sociolinguistic topic they chose.  
- Students will be able to do some research and analysis on sociolinguistic topics.
- Through this seminar, students will learn how to present and write their ideas well in English.
履修条件(事前に履修しておくことが望ましい科目など)/Prerequisite
Ideally, students have finished the basic literature review, data collection and analysis at this point. 夏までに過去の文献を読み、データーを集め分析していること。とにかく今学期は書いて卒論を仕上げること。

授業方法/Method of instruction
The main goal of this seminar is to write up a graduation thesis on sociolinguistics.
Everyweek, students are expected to present their research progress by sending the write-up to the professor before their meeting.

1 100% Presenting: Class presentation 10%
Writing: Drafts of your research paper and handouts for presentation  20%

11月までに卒業論文のファーストドラフトを書き上げることが必要です。その後、少なくとも2回はコメントをもらい直すことになります。石塚のチェックそしてOKを貰ってからの教務への提出になります。卒論を書かない場合は、授業に出席しても単位はもらえません。
