講義概要/Course description
As economics’ majors, students should be ableto discuss money and the systems that govern its usage. In this English courseyou will learn to do so in English. We will be studying many aspects of “money.”You will learn to talk about the history of money, how money itself is created,how the banking system works, what derivatives are, what is off-shore banking,and what caused the 2008 financial crisis among many other topics. You willalso be researching these topics yourself and finding answers to questions thatare presented throughout the course.

The students will be answeringa set of questions each week that have been written to accompany each sectionof the book. Wewill then be answering and discussing these questions in the class.
成績評価方法/Evaluation
1 100% There will be a 15 to 20minute interview of every student at the end of the course. Students will havebeen provided with 40 questions selected from the course. During the interview,the students will be expected to answer these questions to the best of theirability without reading from any text. A practice interview as a class will beconducted 3 weeks before so that the students will understand exactly what isexpected from them and have time to prepare.
