Note that the above lecture plan below is a model plan only; individual professors will determine their own lecture plans and inform students about them during class.  Professors may have students read academic books and textbooks in English on specific themes broadly related to the themes of the department.  The material may be supplemented with short lectures by the professor which explain and expand on the main themes.  Students should respond to the material through discussion, debate, and making oral summaries which they present to the class; students can also respond to the material by writing summaries and book reports, as well as writing critiques of and expressing opinions about articles, etc. The focus will be on learning content through English rather than on translation.  Students may also read outside source materials and present oral and written reports to the class and professor.
