Role/Play: Acting Social Justice (1)
達成目標/Course objectives
This is an acting and social problem awareness class. From the acting standpoint, students will be taught how to develop small roleplays and skits, based on lectures and their own research into prevailing international/domestic social inequities. They will also work on physical and voice techniques.
履修条件(事前に履修しておくことが望ましい科目など)/Prerequisite
Students should be outgoing and have a high level of English ability. Most of all, students must have an interest in the world, in the rights and justice due to all humans, and be willing to exhibit their ideas through performance.

補足事項/Supplementary notesStudents will be asked to create awareness books of newspaper articles on the theme topics. Everyone will be constantly participating and all students will also be graded on the quality of their research and developed skits. There will also be a small paper due near the end of the course. Finally, students will participate in a collective performance in the last class.

Each class will begin with warm-ups and physical work so students must dress in loose, comfortable clothes and be able to take off their shoes.

This course will be held in assigned classroom. If COVID becomes worse again, it will be held remotely using ZOOM. ZOOM session numbers may be found on class CoursePower page.
その他/Others
As in theater rehearsals and performances, students must be present. Every class is a preparation for or presentation of group work. No absences unless prearranged with instructor.
