講義概要/Course description

This course introduces students to various ways of analyzing foreign policy decision-making. In so doing, students will learn what is called the levels of analysis and various theories of foreign policy that focus on various factors belonging to one or more of the levels.

達成目標/Course objectives
|
|
Fundamentally, this course is designed to help students appreciate the difficulties and problems that policymakers face when they make foreign policy decisions. Ideally, students are expected to develop a command of various theories to analyze foreign policy in the real world. More basically, they are expected to acquire basic conceptual and theoretical knowledge useful for understanding why and how certain decisions are made.

履修条件（事前に履修しておくことが望ましい科目など）/Prerequisite
|
|
While there is no prerequisite, students who have taken International Politics I (国際政治学I) in the spring semester may find it easier to understand the contents of this course.
