講義概要/Course description
This course will focus on the UN-led peace operation.

Although originally formed as an ad hoc measure, it is now reckoned as one of the central efforts for the UN tocontribute international peace and security. Despite the wide-spread appreciation,UN peace operations have experienced a variety of challenges. We will inquire variousquestions regarding UN peace operations: Why and how has UN peace operations developed?How have they transformed since its creation in 1948? What are the currentagendas and the future prospects? We will tackle these problems through thiscourse.

A successful student is expected to  fully understand the basics of UN peace operations.
