講義概要/Course description
「積極的に発言する意欲」、「口語英語の知識」、「考えをまとめ、効果的に伝達する力」を育てていくことを中心として展開する授業である。ディスカッション、ディベート、交渉スキルやロールプレーを通してこれらのスキルを身につけることになる。

コミュニケーション能力養成を中心とした実践的な英語力を向上させるために、Bでは、幅広いコミュニケーション活動を通して、様々な口頭表現を学び、発話内容の正確な理解に基づき、英語を用いて広い世界観を育てる参加型の授業である。ロールプレーも適宜行うことで、演技力や表現方法も実践することで、コミュニケーション能力を一層高めていく授業となる。

This class will focus on various aspects of communication, the exchange of opinions, means of effective self-expression and tools of oral English. The typical activities may include: discussion, debate, negotiation and role play.

In Active Speaking Skills B, students will occasionally experience role-playing. Furthermore, students will learn a wide range of expressions and techniques to become an effective speaker with a broad social perspective.
達成目標/Course objectives
ディスカッション、ディベート、交渉スキルやロールプレーの練習を通して、英語を用いた表現能力を築くことが目標である。英語で述べられた情報や他者の考えを正確に理解して、スキットを書き、口頭表現を通して自分の意思を伝える言語能力と技術を習得する。そのため、授業中は積極的な姿勢で英語を用い、発話内容と脈略を理解した上で、自らコミュニケーションを図る態度と能力を養っていくことになる。

The aim of this course is to develop communication skills through discussion, debate, negotiation and role-playing. Through the creation of skits, students will learn how to understand others and effectively express themselves. It is important that students be active participants in this class.

・内容についての質問等を学生に当てることによって毎回出席を取ります。
・遅刻：15分未満の遅刻を2度する、あるいは15分以上の遅刻を1回したら1回分の欠席とみなします。
・欠席：1回 = 罰なし、2回 =－5%、3回 =－10%、4回 = 不合格、つまり4回以上欠席したら単位を得ることができません。
・辞書（英英・英和・和英、できれば電子辞書、スマホ可）を持ってきて下さい。
・講義中に電子辞書、PC、タブレットやスマホでアクセスできるオンライン辞書を活用することを奨励します。
・英語によるディスカッションにも積極的に取り組んで下さい。
・他人が書いた文や翻訳アプリが生成した文等をあたかも自分の文であるかのようにコピー＆ペーストしたり、他の人に頼んで課題等をやってもらう等の不正行為は厳しく処分されるため、履修者には初めに誓約書を提出して頂きます。
・テキストは1人1冊必携(must)です。第2回の授業までに入手しておいて下さい。持っていないことは減点や単位取得不可を招くこともあります。
・aoyama.jpメールを1日1回はチェックできるようにして下さい。大学や教員から重要な連絡（例：単位取得に関わる連絡事項）が行くことがあり、受信しないことが重大な結果（例：単位を落とすこと）を招くこともあります。
