講義概要/Course description
「積極的に発言する意欲」、「口語英語の知識」、「意見交換」、「考えをまとめ、効果的に伝達する力」を育てていくことを中心として展開する授業である。
コミュニケーション能力養成を中心とした実践的な英語力を向上させるために、Aでは、ディベート、ディスカッションを通して、様々な口頭表現を学び、他者の意見の的確な理解に基づき、明解に自分の意見を主張できるようになることを身につける参加型の授業である。加えて、発表内容を充実したものとするために、英語資料を活用できる能力を高める内容も授業に含まれる。

This class will focus on various aspects of communication, including the exchange of opinions, means of effective self-expression and tools of oral English.
In Active Speaking A, students will learn how to express their thoughts and ideas through debate and discussion. In addition, in order to acquire meaningful communication skills, the course will encompass the methods of using and citing sources of information in English.
達成目標/Course objectives
口頭発表と、英語情報理解の学びを通して、国際社会で通用する英語能力を築くことが
目標である。英語で述べられた情報や他者の考えを正確に理解して、主に口頭表現を通して自己表現できる技術を高める事が目的となる。そのため、授業中は積極的な姿勢で英語を用い、発話内容と脈略を理解した上で、自らコミュニケーションを図る態度と能力を養っていくことになる。

The aim of this course is to develop communication skills through oral expression and learn how to obtain and cite information in English so that each student will become an effective citizen in our global society. Students will develop comprehension skills through the understanding of ideas and thoughts of others. It is important that students be active participants in this class.

補足事項/Supplementary notesThe classes are basically taught in English. From the second week, we will start online classes (real-time type) using WebEx. Submission of assignments and distribution of materials will be done through Course Power. Attendance will be confirmed through the assignment submission status on Course Power.
授業は基本的に英語による指導である。第2週目からはオンライン授業(リアルタイム型)でWebExを用いた動画配信を開始する。課題提出と,資料配布はコースパワーを通じて実施。出席確認はコースパワー上の,課題提出状況で行います。
