講義概要/Course description
「積極的に発言する意欲」、「口語英語の知識」、「考えをまとめ、効果的に伝達する力」を育てていくことを中心として展開する授業である。ディスカッション、ディベート、交渉スキルやロールプレーを通してこれらのスキルを身につけることになる。
コミュニケーション能力養成を中心とした実践的な英語力を向上させるために、Bでは、幅広いコミュニケーション活動を通して、様々な口頭表現を学び、発話内容の正確な理解に基づき、英語を用いて広い世界観を育てる参加型の授業である。ロールプレーも適宜行うことで、演技力や表現方法も実践することで、コミュニケーション能力を一層高めていく授業となる。

This class will focus on various aspects of communication: the exchange of opinions, means of effective self-expression and tools of oral English. Typical classroom activities may include: discussion, debate, negotiation and role play.
In Active Speaking Skills B, students will occasionally experience role-playing. Furthermore, students will learn a wide range of expressions and techniques to become an effective speaker with a broad social perspective. 
達成目標/Course objectives
ディスカッション、ディベート、交渉スキルやロールプレーの練習を通して、英語を用いた表現能力を築くことが目標である。英語で述べられた情報や他者の考えを正確に理解して、スキットを書き、口頭表現を通して自分の意思を伝える言語能力と技術を習得する。そのため、授業中は積極的な姿勢で英語を用い、発話内容と脈略を理解した上で、自らコミュニケーションを図る態度と能力を養っていくことになる。

The aim of this course is develop communication skills through discussion, debate, negotiation and role-playing. Through the creation of skits, students will learn how to understand others and effectively express themselves. It is important that students be active participants in this class.
