講義概要/Course description

「積極的に発言する意欲」、「口語英語の知識」、「考えをまとめ、効果的に伝達する力」を育てていくことを中心として展開する授業である。ディスカッション、ディベート、交渉スキルやロールプレーを通してこれらのスキルを身につけることになる。 コミュニケーション能力養成を中心とした実践的な英語力を向上させるために、Bでは、幅広いコミュニケーション活動を通して、様々な口頭表現を学び、発話内容の正確な理解に基づき、英語を用いて広い世界観を育てる参加型の授業である。ロールプレーも適宜行うことで、演技力や表現方法も実践することで、コミュニケーション能力を一層高めていく授業となる。
This class will focus on various aspects of communication: the exchange of opinions, means of effective self-expression and tools of oral English. Typical classroom activities may include: discussion, debate, negotiation and role play. In Active Speaking Skills B, students will occasionally experience role-playing. Furthermore, students will learn a wide range of expressions and techniques to become an effective speaker with a broad social perspective.

達成目標/Course objectives
|
ディスカッション、ディベート、交渉スキルやロールプレーの練習を通して、英語を用いた表現能力を築くことが目標である。英語で述べられた情報や他者の考えを正確に理解して、スキットを書き、口頭表現を通して自分の意思を伝える言語能力と技術を習得する。そのため、授業中は積極的な姿勢で英語を用い、発話内容と脈略を理解した上で、自らコミュニケーションを図る態度と能力を養っていくことになる。
The aim of this course is develop communication skills through discussion, debate, negotiation and role-playing. Through the creation of skits, students will learn how to understand others and effectively express themselves. It is important that students be active participants in this class.

The more prepared a student is, the more the class will be enjoyed! It's not heavy preparation! Get into the habit of reading about the coming class and begin thinking of your answers to questions If there are expressions you don't understand, look them up
