講義概要/Course description
The aim of this course is to examine U.S. security, political, and economic policies toward Asia after the Cold War. We will examine each administration from Bush to the current administration. 
達成目標/Course objectives
Students will be able to explain: (1) the changes in U.S. foreign policy since the end of the Cold War; (2) the characteristics of each administration; and (3) the implications of such changes to the future political environment in the region.

Short essay: write a 100-200 words essay explaining what you find most interesting/important among the topics covered in each class. If you have questions, you could also include that as well. You need to submit the essay at the beginning of the class to be held the following week.


2 レポート Report 30% Three to 5-page written assignment, explaining what you liked about a particular president whom we studied.
3 平常点 In-class Points 25% individual presentation:5-minute presentation 
Topic: Pick a president and explain what you like about this particular president.
