講義概要/Course description
This class is an advanced presentation class for students who received an A or AA in 科学技術英語 I. 

Students build upon what they have learned in 科学技術英語 I to develop advanced-level academic presentation skills. As with 科学技術英語 I, student attendance is expected and active participation is absolutely necessary.


達成目標/Course objectives
Students will give technical/scientific presentations regarding their field of research in both poster and PowerPoint formats. 

Students will visit various laboratories as well as give a tour of their own laboratory.
 
A presentation on a research topic recommended by students' lab advisers will be
given as the final presentation. Professors and other graduate students may attend 
this presentation.
 
All presentations are video recorded and will be made available to students for review. 
Extensive practice will ensure good presentations. Critical listening skills
(developed through peer evaluation activities) and Q&A skills will also be emphasized in this course.
履修条件(事前に履修しておくことが望ましい科目など)/Prerequisite
If a student who received a final grade of A or AA in 科学技術英語 I course would like to register for this course, special permission will be required from the 科学技術英語 Ⅱ instructor. Students are carefully interviewed by the 科学技術英語  Ⅱ instructor in order to be accepted into 科学技術英語  Ⅱ.
