講義概要/Course description
|
本講義は対面授業（通常型）で実施します。This course is an introduction to international finance and open macroeconomics. We will learn exchange rates and factors that affect the rates. This course explains open economy aspects: the trade balance, international capital flows, exchange rates, and international financial crisis.

達成目標/Course objectives
|
The aim of the course is that the students develop an understanding the main implications of the increasing integration of the global economy. Topics covered in the course include theories and empirics about the current account, exchange rate determination, the relationship between the closed and the open economy, and international macroeconomic co-movements.

There is no required textbook. However, I suggest the following textbook as additional reading material:
Paul R. Krugman, Maurice Obstfeld, Marc Melitz, “International Economics: Theory and Policy,” Pearson Education Limited.
The first half is international trade and the second half is international finance. So only read the second part.
