講義概要/Course description
This course offers an overview of the major events in the realm of international security since 1945. In each class, Instructor will explain how the event unfolded historically, and then explain security issues/concepts/debates that are relevant to understanding such an event. 
達成目標/Course objectives
This course is designed (1) to introduce students to a historical overview of how international politics, security policy issues in particular, evolved since World War II, and (2) to help them appreciate why certain security policies were chosen, and how such policies succeeded or failed. By learning these, students are expected to develop a keen sense of how security policies are made and how they may affect the world.
