|
This course explores fundamental philosophical and ethical questions through the lens of popular manga and anime. Using key philosophical concepts such as existentialism, utilitarianism, nihilism, feminism, and environmental ethics, students will engage in discussions about identity, morality, and society. The course aims to help students develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of themselves and contemporary societal issues.
Students will read and watch selected manga and anime and engage in class discussions, relating these narratives to philosophical principles. Each session will involve a brief lecture, discussion, and a quiz to reinforce understanding.
