講義概要/Course description
|
Students will again be expected to react to English input. They will be presented in English from radio, or TV programs, newspaper or other texts and will be helped both to comprehend the contents of this input, and describe or evaluate such content either orally or in writing. The teacher will utilize various ways or checking student comprehension such as written quizzes or oral questioning. The teacher will also help students to gain the skills of producing their own original responses to the English content that they encounter.
この目的に沿うよう、授業では文章を作成して発信する練習を行います。毎回最初の30分程度はウォーミングアップとして、映画などの色々な音声を利用した聴解力と語彙力を伸ばす訓練を行います。次にテキストを利用して、色々な型の文章の作成の仕方を確認します。その上で、テキストに所収の文章やトピックについて自分の考えを簡潔にまとめて、発信する練習を行います。テキストは2回の授業で1 Chapter進めます。最後に授業内容の確認問題を行い、毎回提出します。

達成目標/Course objectives
|
Students will develop their receptive skills, but they are expected to advance in producing language of greater length, such as a well-structured text or a longer talk that effectively describes the students’ experiences or impressions. It is hoped that students will gradually be able to tackle more complex ideas in English and produce more complex written or spoken output, signaling competing ideas and the student’s own conclusion.
上記の目標を踏まえ、特に以下の三点を到達目標とします。
1 語彙、慣用表現の知識を増やす
2 色々な型の文章の作成の仕方を身につける
3 適切な文章の型を用いて、一段落程度の短めの文章で自分の考えを効果的に伝えることができるようになる
