講義概要/Course description
|
Students will continue to develop these skills but it is expected they will advance onto producing language of greater length such as a well-structured text or a longer talk that effectively describe the students’ experiences or impressions. It is hoped that students will gradually be able to tackle more complex ideas in English and produce accordingly more complex written or spoken output, signalling competing ideas and the student’s own conclusion.
この目標に沿うよう、授業では文章を作成して発信する練習を行います。毎回の授業の最初の30分程度はウォーミングアップとして、映画などの色々な音声を利用した聴解力と語彙力を伸ばす訓練を行います。次にテキストを利用して、色々な型の文章の作成の仕方を確認します。その上で、今学期は当方で用意するニュースなどの英語資料に対する自分の考えを簡潔にまとめて、発信する練習を行います。テキストは前期の続きから2回の授業で1 Chapter進めます。今学期は最終的に複数段落の文章の作成を目指します。最後に授業内容の確認問題を行い、毎回提出します。

達成目標/Course objectives
|
Students will further develop their receptive skills, but they are expected to advance in producing language of greater length, such as a well-structured text or a longer talk that effectively describes the students’ experiences or impressions. It is hoped that students will gradually be able to tackle more complex ideas in English and produce more complex written or spoken output, signaling competing ideas and the student’s conclusion.
上記の目標を踏まえ、特に以下の三点を到達目標とします。
1 語彙、慣用表現の知識を増やす
2 色々な型の文章の作成の仕方を身につける
3 適切な文章の型を用いて、自分の考えを効果的に伝える文章を作成することができるようになる
