講義概要/Course description
The world of public speaking is the key for international exchange as many businesses opportunities have gone abroad to English-speaking nations. With the ever-expanding need for bilingual workers in any given field, the world of international conferences are part of the marketplace for new and innovative products and services.  The key to public speaking is to provide the audience with the information needed to make a decision to act on a given idea exchanged at an international conference. Due to the overwhelming need for more public speakers in this forum today, this coursework has been designed to build-up the English proficiency skills for those interested in international exchange a a highly marketable level.
達成目標/Course objectives
Based on the ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE APPROACH with various learning modules in place, the students will be able to work independently as well as in group setting to master the skills in communicating to an English-speaking audience.  Presentation styles by various leaders in the field as well as strategies for organizing and outlining your presentation notes with key scripting tutorials will be provided for students to improve their communicative style.

Please bring your electronic dictionary and/or other devices to isolate the meaning of the spoken or written word into your own language of choice.  The immediacy of transferring such newfound knowledge is the key for building up your English proficiency levels to the maximum for international communication purposes.

補足事項/Supplementary notesFirst class will be held online (on-demand).   Please also note that all subsequent classes will be done face-to-face in the classroom.  This coursework will be based on the ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE approach through task-based learning scenarios in a shared classroom experience. Each session will be interactive, and each student will be given the chance to speak out loud and to voice their concerns, ideas or thoughts in a shared learning environment.
