The technology of today has opened the minds and hearts in exploring new realities from our very own, and provides a multitude of ways to see and understand from people from other cultures. The language of empathy and compassion comes from a human source---our hearts and emotions as well as the feelings that are stirred when we see something that needs to be fixed or in helping those in great need.
Let us talk about how we make things better with our courage and to open our hearts to change the world in a positive way. In other words, let us negotiate our thoughts into action that can make a difference. The words and lyrics of classic songs give us the universal messages and familair rhythms that moves us in ways that allows to understand others. |

What happened before does not erase the years that go by for something that is remembered to be a time for sadness or a serious conflicts that had no answers in sight. Sometimes, these bad feelings and memories will continue, and passed down to the next generations in America. The Civil War from 1861-1864 where the 11 states seceded to keep slavery going was a hard fought battle. This was the time when Abraham Lincoln declared the PROCLAMATION OF EMANCIPTION in 1862 of all 3 million slaves who worked on the Southern plantations. Thus doing so, the southern states lost the civil war. With the January 6th insurrectionist movements on the White House Capitol reminds us that these past memories have not been forgotten by White extremists who are from the south. How can resolve this conflict in America? |

How African Americans rose up from the times of slavery and contributing to society at large, and how civil unrest was negotiated with peaceful marches.
Let us talk about some notable people who had the courage to stand up for civil rights as Martin Luther, King, Jr., with his I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH to Harriet Tubman who helped slaves escape in the underground tunnels to freedom up north. Negotiating through the ideals based on helping those in need and in rejoining society as free citizens has helped build America to be a multicultural nation and in establishing the Rule of Law based on the Constitution. The Constitution is the Law of the Land for all 50 states and guarantees our human rights.

The power of culture on the individual and group in society. One cannot deny how we can interpret circumstances and situations that affect us on an emotional level. We can feel the sadness in eye of those who have lost a loved one to COVID-19, or to see the people who are hungry because of the drought or understand how it must feel to not have electricity or water due to extreme climate change. This is based on our value system taught to us at an early age, and we inherently understand what is good and bad which relates to our morality. Further, we also understand what is right and wrong because this is based on ethics in society. Let us talk more about these topics today. |
