講義概要/Course description
|
Holistic approaches in analyzing environmental policies by leading experts in the field today. Further, we will be discussing the role of leadership, past and present, who have been many headways into bringing more public awareness of the causes of global warming and climate change. The Paris accord as well as the Kyoto Protocol are important commitments made by multiple leaders in government from many nations all around the world. Looking at Internet sources, TED TALKS, and youtube videos, we will explore and discuss the significant changes toward multiple platforms that address the crisis so that we can stem the tide of global disasters, and pave the way for a more eco-friendly environment in harmony with nature.

達成目標/Course objectives
|
Based on the whole earth discipline and the necessity of participating in the stewardship of our Great Plane Earth, students will be provided multiple opportunities in sharing their thoughts and opinions about various timely news worthy events around the world. For example, we will be talking about the preservation of species to the implementation of global projects for a newer, sustainable lifestyle. Through short video vignettes that reveal the involvement of environmentalists from a global perspective, each student will gave a free-form exchange of ideas for positive change.

The first step is to analysis the current state of affairs with global, environmental experts and decide on a course of action and utilizing our problem-solving skills.
