講義概要/Course description
|
This course offers an interdisciplinary introduction to the field of international communication over two semesters (Introduction to International Communication I and II). The aim is to provide students with a solid foundation in both the theoretical and practical dimensions of contemporary international communication.
Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and group work, students will learn about the social, political, and economic aspects of international communication. They will also learn essential international communication skills. In the first semester (I), students will learn fundamental topics, such as globalisation, intercultural sensitivity, and verbal and nonverbal communication. In the second semester (II), they will explore more in-depth subjects, such as cultural and value orientations, media and stereotypes, and intercultural conflict.
This course is conducted primarily in English, and students are expected to use English for all in-class activities and assignments.
