Since the Internet became available for everyone, the availability of information abounds and saturates our daily lives in a highly intensive way. In fact, most people have some access to the Internet on their cell phones to their home computers, and information can be found at the touch of a button. This coursework will explore the multitude of platforms where English is often used to be the language of choice for Internet users each day. With the abundance of multiple sources at our fingertips, students will be able to access and research information so that they will be able to enhance their bilingual, communication skills in the marketplaces of contemporary life.

The Internet will provide students many opportunities to explore and analyze information for their individual as well as team efforts in this coursework. In guiding the students along the path of this information highway, the learning materials provided for all students will be the foundation for English learning at its highest level of competence.

Please bring your electronic dictionary and/or over devices that will help you isolate information from the Internet to your working knowledge. The immediacy of accessing and transferring any and all new knowledge will be beneficial to all students, and will build up their English fluency to the maximum in this way.

First class will be held online (on-demand). All subsequent classes will be face-to-face in the classroom as well. Please access COURSEPOWER for all course material prior to class, and make sure you are able to download the material beforehand so that we can discuss and analyze all the Internet information in class.
