Through reading various materials, Students will be exposed to topics such as globalization, politics, economics, culture, race, gender, and other issues in social sciences.

The purpose of this course is twofold: (1) to develop students’ English reading skills, and (2) to raise students’ awareness of various global and social issues individuals in today’s world face.
