Asian Popular Culture
This course focuses on Asian popular culture in the context of cultural globalization, such as J-pop / K-pop. We will examine different aspects of Asian popular culture, including television drama, music, manga, etc. Students will explore the Asian popular culture through discussing and analyzing their personal experience in the class.

This course strongly encourages and welcomes open communication. Rather than a lecturer, the instructor will act as a facilitator in the class. Questions and discussion in the classroom will also be a central part of teaching. Many topics in the class will be explored through in-class discussions and activities related to assigned readings.
*We will have a small quiz at the end of every class.
*Note that class contents may change during the semester.
*The class is adaptive class based on students' experience

2.I take class attendance seriously.
• A student who attends less than 3/4 of scheduled classes will receive a failing grade.
